W and S Distributors is a family owned and operated beer store in Northumberland, PA
We renovated our grandfather’s store, opening in 2012. We strive to provide a great variety, everyday low prices, and cold beer to central Pennsylvania.

Over 100 years ago,
Samuel Arthur Stuck, our great grandfather, purchased the property in Point Township. On the property, The Stuck Brothers’ built homes, sold building supplies, furniture, appliances, televisions, radios, cars and even ran a restaurant. In 2011, George Stuck’s daughter, Kathy Specht, and her family began renovating the property to start a beer distributor. Kathy, her husband, Jeff, and their sons, Craig and George, all pitched in to renovate the property! In August of 2012 after the Spechts purchased the license from Mike Marotto Sr for W and Distributor.

By 2012,
Beer could only be sold by the case in the state of Pennsylvania. However, as the Specht family grew W and S Distributors, the state laws began to change. In no time, Pennsylvania law changed again to allow for the sale of singles and six packs in 2018. Over time, Craig cultivated relationships with suppliers and brewers from all over the state to bring outstanding American craft beer and imports from all around the globe to Northumberland! The Spechts hired their first employee in 2016, longtime family friend Gordy Sehestedt, who introduced my parents.

TODAY,
You will find an almost-daily evolving variety of beer and malt beverages at W and S Distributors. Our advertisements on social media and the radio highlight our family history and our Great Uncle Bob serves as the mascot and a giant cardboard cutout in the parking lot! At our hometown shop, you will always be met with a smile from one of our employees or someone from the family. In 2010, just prior to opening the store, there were 1,759 craft breweries. In 2023, there were nearly 10,000 craft breweries in the United States. At W and S Distributors, we strive to provide you with the best service, selection, and quality every day!
